holy complicated clan, batman
Bwoof. So I had this idea about making my grandmother (Irish-born) an Aran sock for Christmas. Then I had another idea about how neat it would be to somehow fashion it after the Moran clan sweater (Moran is her maiden name).
Well... that was until I saw the damn sweater pattern:

well there are some really cool patterns on that sweater!
I love the center panel pattern!
Its a cool sweater..you could feature parts of it on a sock.
I'm about to purchase the Harmony Guide to Aran stitches and patterns. I love the honeycomb and the braids, so we'll see what I can whip up. Hoping to combine with Wendy Johnson's toe-up sock pattern from Knitty.
